I’ve just read a really great post by Paul Evans, someone whose expertise and business ethic I admire. I thought it would be appropriate to share it with you because I couldn’t have said it any better myself . . .

Making Plans
by Paul Evans
Nicheology
What about YOUR P.L.A.N.S.?
What is YOUR online business going to look like at the end of 2009?
P = Pinpoint Your Destination
—————————————————
Where are you going? What will it take to get there?
For example… One of the Nicheology members wrote me about her plan to use the resources and training on the site. She knows where she is going. She knows how she will get there. It’s a great plan! I’m excited about watching her progress.
What’s your destination for this year?
L = Leave Your Excuses Behind
————————————————-
“My product isn’t good enough.” “There’s too much competition.” “I don’t have any guru friends.” Whaaaaaah!!
(Sniff. Sniff. Wiping a tear.)
There are FAR TOO MANY people all too happy to provide a reason they cannot do something. Why they cannot make money. Why the entire internet marketing world is set against them.
Don’t be one of them (there are plenty). Write down all your “Yes” reasons and leave the whining to the majority.
A = Activate Your Avenue
———————————————-
You do not have to make money the same way others do.
I have an avenue. A format. A formula. A model. A method. Call it what you want. It works. Everyday I follow a simple online business ritual. Day in and day out. Nothing fancy. And it pays off big time.
What’s yours? What is your avenue? What type of online business do you want to build?
So many people do not know the answers to those questions. If you can answer them clearly and specifically, you’ll be amazed at the momentum you gain.

N = Navigate the Narrows
——————————————–
Take a few minutes and search for online business opportunities. (But don’t give in to the hype copy!) You’ll find hundreds possibilities. The masses are diving into the unknown daily. They see the through a wide angle lens. They see hope and riches.
Now pull back. Think for a moment.
What does it REALLY take to make money online? 3 things : 1. Traffic. 2. List. 3. Conversions. Just a little TLC.
That’s it. It’s the narrows. A narrow focus. Yet you don’t see a lot of people concentrating solely on those things. They get caught up in the latest fad. Buying the latest huge release without a clue of the real impact it might have.
Go narrow. Go simple. Win big.
S = Success is NOT an Accident.
—————————————————-
If you have been part of Nicheology or this profit letter for any length of time you are probably sick of me saying that. Well, I am not stopping.
Your success will be up to…. You.
You will not wake up tomorrow with money in your inbox without having done something. Either today or in the past. It doesn’t just happen.
The next couple of days I’ll spend with folks making on average $500K+ online a year. What’s weird is that it wasn’t a miracle. They all worked. Most work MUCH HARDER than they ever let people know.
There will not be one person in the room that I will look at and say, “Wow. He/She sure is lucky.” It’s not luck. And it’s not a mistake.
It happened through P.L.A.N.S. What’s yours?
Success is NOT an Accident!!!
Paul
P.S. There is absolutely no reason not to join the most valuable niche focused site on the web… Nicheology. It’s flat out cheap compared to the value!

That’s some great food for thought, isn’t it?
And I love his point to “go narrow”. I’m finding that the more I ignore the “launch du jour” and focus on my own PLAN the more success I have. I’m also finding PLR content to be a tremendous time saver as well as an idea sparker.
Right now, Nicheology is celebrating its 5 Year Anniversary with new content, a new site design and loads of new updated training that can lead you along the path to real internet marketing success. That’s a long history of helping and training internet entrepreneurs. I encourage you to Click Here to check out what’s going on. It’s great stuff!
